SUPERIMPOSITION & ADVANCED SCAN MODE

In this video we will learn how to Superimpose with the Advanced Scan Mode. This will only be necessary with Dentate patients who are not showing a lot of teeth in their smile due to lack of teeth or lack of ability in showing them. In this case, they will need to use the Superimposition Tray, which is part of the FI3LD Starter Kit.

After you have completed the scans for the natural and exaggerated smiles as normal, you will need to take a scan of the patient while wearing the Superimposition Tray. To use it, inject a small amount of bite registration material into the U-Shaped Bite Channel of the Superimposition Tray and place it over the lower anterior teeth. The patient will then need to bite down to stabilize the tray. Once this is done, take off the front-facing Reference Plate while keeping the U-Shaped Bite Channel in the patient’s mouth. Perform an intra oral scan of the patient with the U-Shaped Bite Channel in place.

Once this is done, your files are ready for export and delivery to Allure Dental Studio.
