UNBOXING THE OBISCANNER

Begin by removing the protective wrapping. Inside, you will find the following items:

  • The ObiScanner / USB Micro B connection port

  • Internal light power supply

  • 6ft USB 3.0 Male Type-A to USB Micro B cable

  • Reference Brochure

  • Instruction Manual

The ObiScanner needs to be connected to a tripod, which is included in your Field Starter Kit. This will allow for scanning in your patient in either a seated or standing position.


ASSEMBLING

  1. Mount the Obiscanner on the Tripod and hand tighten with the thumb screw until it is secured.

  2. Insert the USB 3.0 into the USB port on your laptop or PC.

  3. Connect the other end of the cable to the ObiScanner using the USB 3.0 male Type A to USB micro B cable.

  4. Insert the power supply cable into the rear plug of the scanner.

INTERNAL LIGHTS

The ObiScanner comes with onboard lighting. Insert the power supply into the back of the ObiScanner. Connect the other end into a power outlet. The brightness can be adjusted using the + and - buttons located on the front of the scanner.

EXTERNAL LED LIGHTS

How to use the External Lights on the ObiScanner.

  1. Connect the external lights to the USB ports placed on the back of the ObiScanner.

  2. On the back of the LED lights are buttons that use can use to adjust the brightness of the lights. Adjust until you are happy with the exposure for your scan.

ALTERNATIVE LIGHTING: 14 INCH RING LIGHT

Some doctors prefer to swap the external lights they were provided for a ring light, which works just as well if not better for the scanner. The list below is a list of ring lights we would suggest as an alternative to the external lights you are provided with:
